Bay Area Bird Language Basics
Did you know there is meaning behind every vocalization a bird makes? Birds are actually the highly evolved security alarm network of nature. Like a series of infrared beams, unawareness of them causes alert while understanding can allow you access to some of the best kept secrets of the woods; the sleeping fox, the doe feeding it's young, the mountain lion stalking it's prey.
We will spend the day viewing life through the eyes of abird, outside in the field for the morning and learning form slide show and lecture for the afternoon. This workshop is appropriate for anyone who is curious about the hidden life of birds: hikers and outdoorsy folk, bird lovers and birders, environmental enthusiasts wanting to deepen their connection to nature and trackers wishing to take their skills to the next level.
