Fundamentals This 2-day Course teaches the fundamental skills required for the core study of Way of the Ranger: The Curriculum of Shadows. Instructors from the Trackers Rangers Guild begin with the basics of awareness, addressing both the physical and philosophical skills required to walk and live on the edge of the village. From there the Rangers are perfectly situated to be it protectors and providers. They wait in silence and move in flow. Each principle and exercise of invisibility becomes applicable for either wilderness living skills or even our seemingly normal livelihoods we undertake to provide for our families and communities.

The Edge and the Shadow

There are parts of this world people either cannot see or more often, they choose not to. That is where the Rangers often finds themselves, on the edge and in the shadows. A place where they can wait, watching the flow of nature and listening for the needs of the village. We cover the skills and perception necessary to be there physically and emotionally in either the wilderness or the modern world.

Provide for the Village

Whether hunting and gathering on the dark edges of the wild or writing a business plan for fiscal stability in today's world, the Rangers Guild always works with a deft understanding of both our natural and innate resources. We address the principles of conversation and regeneration of abundance for future generations of the village and community.

Silence and Flow

The willingness to wait and the willingness to move are actually two sides of the same coin. The Ranger understands when to act and when not to. We begin to cultivate this intrinsic awareness of healthy and tempered choice. What is left is an ever evolving capacity to become "truly useful."
