Ages 7-9 Curriculum includes...
Wilderness Safety and Outdoor Skills Lost proofing, shelter, fire by friction, cordage, beading and pottery, knife use and carving.
Wildlife Tracking and Ecology Local wildlife identification, bird language, animal tracks, native and medicinal plants, weather and seasonal changes, animal adaptations, and predator-prey relationships.
Awareness and Scout Games Animal forms, stalking and camouflage, strategic games and creative movement.
Ages 10-14 Curriculum includes...
Learning from the Land Themes bird language, animal tracks, native and medicinal plants, weather and seasonal changes, ocean ecology, animal adaptations, and predator-prey relationships.
Scout Skills Activities Animal forms, archery, stalking and camouflage, strategic games and creative movement.
Primitive Crafts Students learn to make shelter, fire by friction, cordage, bows and arrows, beading and pottery, knife use and carving.
Each of these elements is included into our daily schedule however we are always flexible to weather conditions and the energy and interests of the team.
