A Camp for Wizards

Your invitation to the Trackers School of Magic should be arriving any day. Delivered to your doorstep, this actual parchment tells you where to go, what to bring and how you will get there.*

New Student Upon your arrival you learn which house you will join. Your first task is to create your own wand, one specially crafted to grow in power as you advance and develop your character.

Returning Student You rejoin the ancient traditions of your house. You continue to develop your character and studies, refining your wand and increasing your powers.

Role-Playing Game: Advanced Powers

Every time they attend the School of Magic each camper adds to their wizards character sheet, a chronicle connecting your child's achievements through different camps. Every new adventure and course adds powers, skills and accomplishments to their ongoing character.

Wizard Studies

Much of our wizards studies and adventures take place in the enchanted forests of our local parks and may include the following...

Ancient Ruins Step back through time to discover and retrieve ancient relics and unravel the mysteries of our realm.

Potions and Compounds Pursue the secrets of Alchemy and perhaps your character will unlock the secrets of Regeneration.

Herbology Discover which plants are good to eat, which possess healing abilities and those that can be used for astral projection.

Divination Through various means and talismans learn to tell the fortunes of others and maybe even gain a glimpse of your own future.

Transmogrification Uncover the secrets of the animals of the forest while exploring magicks of the wild and learning different forms for your character to become.

Cryptozoology Discover the legends of unique creatures and things thought to be mythical and maybe go on a quest to meet one.

Our Philosophy for Learning & Living

A Smile

We help children to feel like that group of kids wandering country backyards 50 years ago: independent, tired, muddy, wet and happy from the woods and wild. We are acutely aware of full and real hazards of the out of doors after years of working in environmental education. We try to move away from the highly structured and limiting tolerances of conventional environmental education while keeping kids truly safe but not encapsulated from, or phobic of nature. We are deep patriots to the value of offering guided yet very free and transparent experiences for kids. We believe it is okay to be thirsty at times, cold at times, and wet at times. It builds empathy and care for the gifts of life. It fosters adventure and sincere accomplishment. We also believe it is critical to feel supported and cared for as they truly explore their passion and responsibility. And through a healthy life immersed in nature, they test the limits and great potential of the often untapped physical and emotional resiliency they possess
