Live-Action Role-Playing Game

Welcome to Realms of the Golden Gate, our epic role-playing adventure program. Find new and old friends while living a story of myth and magic. Learn outdoor skills to forge your path through the forest:

Character Creation Develop your character while accumulating experience in essential outdoor skills. Journey through the Realms and its epic wilderness. Become an Elf, Wizard, Ranger, or more!

Fabrication & Costuming Bring cosplay to life. Create your costume and questing tools that are fully functional for your wilderness adventures. Work with fiber, leather, stone, bone, metal, and more.

Storytelling Quests Live the game. Experience an ongoing role-playing saga where each weekend is a new adventure. Weave these tales into an epic year-long story, questing with the all your friends. Always remember, the fate of the Realms is in your hands!

How it Works


1 weekend a month, September - May. At our Monthly Training Weekends, Apprentices join a team of friends learning from expert mentors. See below for dates and available schedules.

Single Saturdays - 1 Saturday per month; 8:45 AM - 4:00 PM. Available for Grades 1-8. The most flexibility for families.

  • Additional optional Community & Family Events - Dates Vary
  • Monthly community skills night - 2nd Wednesday of the month, September - May

Tuition is divided into 9 equal monthly payments after a $75 deposit, or may be paid in full in mid-August for a 5% discount.

Single Saturdays: Tuition is $1,495 ($166 per month)

    Class Schedule

    Class is one weekend a month from September to May. Please check these dates carefully, as we are unable to provide credit for missed days.

    Grade 3-8: Schedule A: Saturdays

    • September 7, 2019: Field Day
    • September 28, 2019: Field Day
    • October 19, 2019: Field Day
    • November 9, 2019: Field Day
    • December 7, 2019: Field Day
    • December 14, 2019: Optional Holiday Party
    • February 1, 2020: Field Day
    • February 29, 2020: Field Day
    • March 15, 2020 (Sunday): Make-Up Day IF NEEDED
    • April 11, 2020: Field Day
    • May 2, 2020: Field Day
    • May 30, 2020: Community Graduation Potluck Picnic

    Registration Policy Information


    Tuition is divided into monthly payments after a $75 deposit, or may be paid in full by August 15 for a 5% discount.

    Grade 3-8 (Single Days Only): 2019-20 program tuition is $1,495. Includes: 9 field day Saturdays, Community Celebration: Picnic Potluck, optional family holiday party, and Mora knife. 


    To secure your space for Fall 2019 we require a non-refundable $75 deposit per child. Tuition is divided into nine equal payments which will be charged on the first of the month from September through May. A 5% discount will be applied for tuition paid in full by August 15, 2019.  

    Please note that registrations are for the entirety of the program; however, we do allow for mid-season withdrawals per our cancellation policy (see below). If you are unable to provide your deposit now due to financial hardship, please contact us directly so we may make alternate arrangements. Limited scholarships are available in cases of financial need; please see our scholarship page for deadlines and application information.

    Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy

    Because of our small group sizes, we are greatly impacted by mid-session cancellations and withdrawals. Please carefully look at the calendar dates above and weigh well if this is a commitment that fits with your family's schedule and needs. Nevertheless, we understand that the needs of families may change during the year. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

    • We request a two-week courtesy notice prior to withdrawals.
    • For all withdrawals from apprenticeship programs, a withdrawal fee equal to one monthly payment will apply.
    • After the withdrawal fee has been subtracted, we will refund any pre-paid tuition prorated for time not attended.
    • We cannot offer credit for program days due to illness, family vacations, etc.
