Flexible Substitute (Teacher) Educational & work experience. 18 years age & up. Able to make one of our substitute trainings on either June 7-8 or 9-10, 2025.

Section 3 - Trackers Compass

It's important to think of Trackers as a giant role-playing game where kids learn truly old-school outdoor and traditional skills while working together as a team and living fantastic, action-packed stories. The Trackers Compass outlines the core qualities we aim to help kids develop through that game. It has four parts: Call, Code, Mission, and Service.

How could you guide kids to discover these character qualities?

Trackers Call - Part 1 of the Trackers Compass encourages kids to Be Ready (training skills), Be Gritty (build resilience), Be a Caretaker (practice stewardship), and Be a Team (work together).

How could you help kids develop these skills of awareness?

Trackers Code - Part 2 of the Trackers Compass teaches kids to Pay Attention (be aware), Be Truly Helpful (notice how to help), Flow with Nature (adapt), and Do It Better (always learn).

How could you craft creative activities for these imaginary "missions"?

Trackers Mission - Part 3 of the Trackers Compass fosters fun hero stories and curriculum to Protect the Village, Respect the Waters, Restore the Earth, and Remember Our Story.

Which interview location is necessary?

I am nearby for an in-person interview (within 30 miles of an above location).

Because I live more than 30 miles from any of these locations, I require a video interview.

Section 5 - Schedule

At Trackers, being part of our team means committing to be present for and support one another when it matters most. This commitment applies to both your fellow team members and the kids we serve. You must be available for all paid trainings and every required week of the summer season. The only exception is the potential week off from June 30 to July 4, 2025 (though work opportunities may still be available during this time).
