Celebrate holiday joy with waffles, carols, and crafts! Finally! A camp featuring holiday jubilation and the sheer awesomeness of waffles. These two worlds belong together, just like the perfect harmony of the carols we shall sing. Welcome to the Musical Waffle Project. Join us as we record the seminal Waffle Sessions. Bring your voice, your appetite, and your creativity.
Waffle Sessions Through Time
Every session opens in the kitchen. We make and munch on all manner of waffles as we journey through the history of this usually sweet and sometimes savory treat. From the medieval origins of the humble "wafer" to the great American "waffle frolics" of the 1800s (yes, entire parties thrown in honor of waffles, and honestly, correct), we explore the depths of the wonderful world of waffling. All this as the secrets of the Ultimate Wilders Waffle Recipe are finally revealed to you.
The Musical Joy Imperative
After we cook a mountain of waffles through the morning, we rehearse our setlist. Then The Waffle Sessions go live: our fellowship of Wafflers carols through local neighborhoods with perfect pitch and reasonable volume, bringing yuletide cheer wherever we roam, then returns to base camp for crafts, games, and quality control of the afternoon waffle batch.
Just as heartfelt caroling shines a light of joy on these cold days of winter, so does the waffle warm our hearts, minds, and tummies. Toppings shall include: real maple syrup, divine berry preserves, homemade whipped cream, and an ever-so-light dusting of confectioners sugar.*
*All waffle recipes likely include wheat, sugar, dairy, eggs, and/or possibly bacon. Have allergies or dietary needs? Don't worry, let us know so we can help you waffle well.
What You Do
This isn't just cooking. It's a full-on holiday celebration. Sing, eat, craft, and share joy like only a true Trackers Waffler can. The Waffle Sessions include:
- Make and eat waffles, waffles, and even all the waffles
- Unlock the secrets of the Ultimate Wilders Waffle Recipe
- Build your own epic Waffle Village, then defend it from local Kaiju (怪獣) like Waffzilla
- Experiment with sweet and savory toppings from around the world
- Rehearse your setlist, then take the caroling show on the road
- Create seasonal crafts inspired by winter traditions
- Work together to prepare a grand community waffle feast: the final session
For Grades 6–8: Here We Go A Waffling: Master Chef Blaster Older campers run the kitchen, crafting new waffle recipes and signature toppings as they lead the community feast.
Please Note: One of the primary reasons this camp exists is to see how many times kids and staff can make puns using the word "waffle".
