Winter Crafts & Cooking
Explore the world of wild plants, animals and folk craft. Get your hands dirty learning to care for the land. Create useful, beautiful and often delicious homestead crafts. Our Wilders go beyond the farm, journeying into a world where our gardens grow through the natural forest.
Wilders Adventure: Campfires & Cocoa Split wood. Build the epically huge campfires. Be regaled by grand stories. Prepare and serve cocoa handcrafted from an ancient Wilders recipe.
Wilders Hearth & Home: Cozy Crafts Celebrate the changing of the seasons in wild style. Use wild-gathered ingredients to hand craft decorations for the halls of Trackers and your home. This program takes place predominantly in our Guild Hall and may or may not travel to a park location pending weather.
Wilders Chef: Tortillas, Tamales, and Tacos: One or two day options available Learn outdoor cookery through processing masa into a variety of delicious creations: Tortillas, tamales, and tacos! Register for one day or attend both for a true feast. We will make a different set of foods each day. Please note that this camp is gluten free and will include vegetarian options, but is not vegan. Contact us with other food allergy or diet questions prior to registering.
Important note about fire-themed camps: If a Winter Spare the Air alert is called, outdoor burning of wood is banned. If a Winter Spare the Air burn ban is in effect, we will substitute other activities and cook our feasts over portable propane stoves.
